The said activity was participated by 15 participants, of which 10 belong to the management staff and five (5) are members of the Board of Directors. The planning activity was done by reviewing and formulating strategies to further improve the operations and financial set-up of the organization. The activity has also provided time to both the coop officers and management staff to reflect on their individual and organizational values as a person and as a cooperative while they strive to realize what they have planned.
The Workshop was divided into five (5) modules, which lasted for three (3) days. A variety of Structured Learning Experiences (SLE) were conducted to deepen understanding and appreciation of the topics, such as signific
ance of team building, stages of team growth, characteristics of a team, teamwork, and creative cooperation. The participants further reviewed and assessed their 2008 and 2009 performance and were able to identify the areas which need further improvement. At the end of the workshop, the participants were able to develop their cooperative’s annual plan with corresponding budgetary requirements. The workshop culminated with a Presentation and Approval of the 2010-2012 SMPC Plan by the SMPC Board of Directors (BOD) for implementation of the management staff.
