Dolefil Executives Join the Coffee Plantation Trekking

Mahintana assisted and coordinated the coffee plantation trekking activity  of Dolefil Executives on October 13, 2018 at Prk. 8, Kinilis, Polomolok . The area was the adopted community of Mahintana during the MICADEV Project. This is an exposure activity of the Dolefil visitors on the livelihood and culture of the Mt. Matutum Coffee Producers Association which is composed of B’laan Indigenous People.

The Dolefil Executives are Industrial Operations Director Mr. Peter Hamilton and his son Ryland Hamilton, Senior Analyst Mr. Yohei Kajikawa, Industrial Operations Mr. Jorge Arturo Gomez, Agri Research Ms. Adriana Obando and Mr. Roberto Rojas. They were assisted by Mr. Fred Fredeluces, proprietor of Greentropics (supplier of Arabica and Civet Coffee), Ms. Ella Mae M. Babao. Mr. Roel Ian Blanker and Ms. Shinny Ula from Mahintana and Ms. Ma. Theresa Catalan from Dolefil Community Relations Department.

RESOURCEGov 2 conducts Pre-Annual Review Meeting

In preparation for the upcoming Annual Review, RESOURCEGov 2 Project Teams from Mahintana, MINCODE and its member networks met for the Pre-Annual Review Meeting on October 11, 2018 at the Cicada Room, Kalsangi Clubhouse, Polomolok, South Cotabato. It was attended by 25 project staff (Male 9, Female 16). The agenda of the meeting includes the following: review of project targets and workplan, presentation project accomplishment based on indicators, presentation of interim narrative report, presentation of financial report as of Sept. 30, 2018, presentation of BPR per LGU, presentation of agenda for the annual review, delegation of tasks for annual review, presentation of spending plan, and other matters.

 

Polomolok NHS plants along 109A Gully

In celebration of their 2018 Science Fair, the Polomolok National High School (PNHS) conducted a tree growing activity on October 12, 2018 at 109A Gully, Brgy. Cannery, Polomolok. A total of 300 bamboo hills were planted as part of their replanting action for the mortalities from their previous planting activity last May 30, 2018. The activity was headed by Mr. Ednie Agtas, PNHS Science Coordinator, which was participated by 50 students.

Farmer-Partners build Vermicomposting Beds

On October 2, 2018, Scale-up RePAIR Phase 3 conducted meeting with the farmer-partners at Brgy. Lumakil, Polomolok and Brgy. Rubber, Polomolok for their plant maintenance fee and vermicomposting bed construction. It serves as the output of their Vermicomposting Training in the previous quarter. Nine (9) farmer-partners participated in the activity for the two barangays. The vermicompost constructed will be used for the maintenance of their planted bamboos and forest and fruit trees and FAITH gardens, specifically on the fertilization for sustainability.
