The RESOURCEGov Team met in preparation for the 7th Joint PIT-PMT Meeting on July 25, 2019 at Go Hotels, Lanang, Davao City attended by 50 participants (Male 24, Female 26). The meeting aims not only to update the team of the accomplishment and discuss the issues and concerns in the project implementation, but also, to welcome and orient the newly installed Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs) and the new local chief executives and their representatives about the project.
The meeting was facilitated by Project Manager Mr. Roel Ian P. Blanker. Mahintana President & CEO Mr. Martiniano L. Magdolot welcomed the participants and gave a short history of the project conceptualization. DILG partners gave messages of support, all of them, new to the project team. DILG 11 Assistant Regional Director Atty. Abdullah V. Matalam, Maasim MLGOO Mr. Melencio Balanag, Jr. for DILG 12 and Tagbina MLGOO Mr. Roel Camba represented and spoke in behalf of their respective regional directors. The minutes of the 6th Joint PIT-PMT Meeting was reviewed, corrected and approved by the body, and business arising were raised and discussed. To update the body, Mr. Blanker presented a short project overview and the project accomplishments to date including the upcoming activities that will assist the CSOs in the accreditation process. Project Admin and Finance Officer Ms. Wilma C. Jumilla presented the project financial updates. Queries were raised and answered accordingly. For a more innovative way to update the body MINCODE Executive Director and Project Coordinator Ms. Raizsa Mae Anayatin facilitated a workshop session that aims for the participants to; a) recognize the project’s contributions to local governance; b) acknowledge the lessons learned in overcoming challenges in the course of the project implementations; and c) identify possible ways to sustain or build on the gains from the project. After the session, the body gained insights on the partners’ perspectives and takeaways from the project. Agri-Aqua Development Coalition (AADC) Executive Director Ms. Agnes Bolaños gave the closing remarks. The agreed schedule for the Year 2 Annual Review is on October 24-25, 2019.
