GenSan CENRO conducts benchmarking activity of MFI’s Environmental Projects

On October 3, 2019, the R2R program facilitated the learning visit of the 15 staff and 11 Integrated Social Forestry (ISF) barangay partners of City Environment and Natural Resource Office General   Santos City together with their Acting CENRO EnP Allan Marcilla at the project areas of R2R and GTP.

Prior the field visit, Mr. Martiniano L. Magdolot gave a welcome message before the orientation and background presentation on Mahintana and Ridge-to Reef Program by Mr. Jobe Tubigon and Ms. Ella Mae M. Babao.  During the orientation, Mr. Marcilla expressed that the interventions shown can really help address the challenges on their ISF barangays especially the community nursery and soil stabilization technologies. The group toured the R2R project areas such as Cannery community nursery, the Bamboo House, field gully 112C, and the indigenous bamboo dike at Barangay Magsaysay.
