To ensure that the Kinilis Water System spring source will not run out of water, the project funded by Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. and implemented by Mahintana Foundation, Inc. conducted a tree growing/planting activity on June 22, 2020. At least 400 hills out of the target 3,000 forest trees was planted in the water source and adjacent areas of the watershed/MMPL. The activity is also a celebration of the Philippine Arbor Day, a day dedicated to tree planting.

The tree growing activity was participated by various partners and stakeholders from Protected Area Management Office-Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape headed by PASu Gabriel Baute, Municipal Environment and Natural Resource Office (MENRO)-Polomolok headed by Engr. Agustin P. Valencia, Dole Philippines, Inc. represented by the VP & Managing Director Mr. Nicholaos Yiannakis and Dolefil Community Relations Manager, Ms. Leamor B. Bañaga, BLGU Kinilis Council and staff headed by Hon. Floro P. Tagaban, IPMR Kinilis Mr. Oliver Buan, Matutum Coffee Producers’ Association (MCPA) headed by Ms. Julita Buan, Prk. 8 community members headed by Chairperson Zaldy Mosquera and Mahintana Foundation, Inc. represented by the Operations Manager, Mr. Jobe C. Tubigon.
