Mahintana, Dolefil, and LGU Polomolok supports the Grand Iftar

After a month of fasting, Muslims celebrate Ramadan’s conclusion through the Festival of Breaking the Fast also known as Eid al-Fitr – a holiday observed by the entire Muslim community. Communities gather on this day to break the fast known as Iftar, the evening meal where Muslims conclude their regular Ramadan fast at sunset.

In honor and respect of tradition, Mahintana Foundation, Inc. and Dole Philippines, Inc. together with the local government unit of Polomolok pooled resources to support the Iftar in the municipality’s Muslim communities in eight barangays. Goats, rice, freshly baked Nutripan bread products, Dole pineapple products, and fruit juice were provided to the communities.

The activity is supported by the Promoting Peace Engagements and Community Empowerment (ProPEACE) programme funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF). ProPEACE is currently being implemented in the provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani through a consortium with Kasilak Development Foundation, Maguindanaon Development Foundation, OND Hesed, and Tribal Leaders Development Foundation.
