Implementers of the ProPEACE programme received recognition during the United Nations Development Programme-Sulong Kapayapaan Peace and Development Communities Assessment Results Presentation on December 17, 2021, at Paraiso Verde Hotel, Koronadal City. Global Community Engagements and Resilience Fund (GCERF) and Mahintana Foundation Inc. together with the partner implementors of the Promoting Peace Engagements and Community Empowerment (ProPEACE) programme, Kasilak Development Foundation Inc., OND Hesed Foundation, Maguindanaon Development Foundation Inc. and Tribal Leaders Development Foundation are partners of Sulong Kapayapaan Sarangani in peace and development efforts in the province.

Mr. Winston Aylmer A. Camariñas, Resilience and Peacebuilding Unit Head, United Nations Development Programme together with Ms. Jennifer A. Kamid, Sulong Kapayapaan project manager and Mr. Jonathan Sinfuego, Sulong Kapayapaan project director presented the plaque of recognition during the Handog Pasasalamat Para sa Kapayapaan. The recognition was themed as Sustaining the Gains of Peace: The Sarangani Experience success story, as ProPEACE was modeled with Sulong Kapayapaan with its objectives to sustain its gains in Sarangani and replicate them in South Cotabato.

Representatives of the ProPEACE programme at the event included Mahintana Foundation Inc. Mr. Ruhel Jon Besinga, ProPEACE project officer and respective project officers of ProPEACE subrecipients. In his message of support, Mr. Besinga thanked Sulong Kapaayapaan for their unwavering support for the programme especially in terms of technical assistance in the various project implementation.

Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, 73rd Infantry Batallion, Armed Forces of the Philippines (Bravo Company), Department of Interior and Local Government-Sarangani, Department of Agriculture Region XII were among those who were present.

The ProPEACE programme aims to contribute to the improvement of peace, security, tolerance and respect for the diversity of tri-people (Muslims, Christians and Indigenous Peoples) implemented in the provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani by the Mahintana Foundation Inc. through a consortium with Kasilak Development Foundation Inc., OND Hesed Foundation, Maguindanaon Development Foundation Inc., and the Tribal Leaders Development Foundation Inc. ProPEACE programme is supported by the Global Community Engagements and Resilience Fund. (GCERF).
